Brenda
Yonamine
Maybe
it was a blessing in disguise when she was diagnosed with breast
cancer, because Brenda then retired from teaching special education
and dedicated herself to doing something she loved...bead making.
As
a result of her experience with cancer and her subsequent recovery,
Brenda began making "angel beads" adorned with pink
ribbons to give to other women with similar circumstances and
has begun her red-ribboned angels to continue awareness of the
AIDS virus. She has donated many of her beads to hospitals, doctors
and is donating a percentage of her proceeds to research in Aids
and Breast Cancer.
