| Jamie's Beadlogue! Hello from The Beadgirl! 3-5-07 I have been de-cluttering my home for the last 6 months and it's amazes me that it took over 3 decades to get all this stuff, and I EXPECTED to de-clutter in a week. Hah, yeah, right! I've gone through my clothes, kitchen, beadroom, bathroom, and now am currently on "entertainment". YIKES!! That means, movies, books, music and holy smokes, do we have a lot!! I have tons of self-help books that I bought thinking... I'll read that someday.... I think that someday has come and gone. GREAT NEWS!!! You can rummage through my stuff and my friends' stuff at our Charity Fair White Elephant on Sunday, April 27th!! Your donations will go to Kapiolani Breast Health Center and the Kukui Children's Foundation - that serves abused or at-risk children in need of assistance. This children's foundation is a new program for us to support, and we hope that you'll find it as important as we do. Michelle and I went on a walk-through of the building and it will be the first of its kind for Hawaii's kids - very exciting and inspiring! Please read this article for more info: http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2008/Jan/28/ln/hawaii801280333.html We hope to see you at our 10th? charity fundraiser on Sunday, April 27th from 10 - 2pm! Why the question mark? Because it doesn't matter how many we've done - just how much love we've done it with. Plus, we honestly can't remember. ***** If you want to donate something to our bake sale, silent auction, white elephant... anything at all, just let me know! jamie@thebeadgallery.com Last year, we raised over $10,000 thanks to all of you! Let's make a difference together again! bye bye! jamie
•••••••• Hello from The Beadgirl! 11-26-07 So it's my birthday coming up this week, and I'll be 37 years old. I love birthdays, if only for the fact that it's a celebration that someone was born! I make it a priority to call a friend, make a gift, or think about that special someone who was born on that day. That was a magical day, to think that you were a tiny little baby with no idea of what was coming... all your hopes and dreams lay before you and you had an absolutely clean slate. ohhh, put me back. Of course the benefits of being old are..... okay, email me. I could say accrued wisdom, and yet I do something foolish daily. I wish it were peace of mind, but I'm still actively looking. But then I look around, at the wonderful people around me, and what a safe place I work and breathe in. I look at "my girls" and I think, thank you higher supreme beings, for blessing me. For GIVING me everything that I have including my friends, family, staff, customers. It's taken 37 years to gather these people to be in my life...it's exciting to think what will come. Today, I laughed and laughed at work with Lisa, Kelli, Junie and Amanda. That was an awesome "birthday" gift. I think this is the best present of all - Connect with me. Look at me, see me, and let me do the same with you~ until then! jamie |
